The Botanical Trail takes you through a pristine forest that is well known for its large evergreen population and rich diversity of flowering plants. Along the way, you will be able to experience the different vertical levels of vegetation, each one known for its characteristic species within the temperate rainforest.

The vegetation of the Botanical Trail is made up of roughly 96 species of vascular plants, belonging to 79 different genera and 55 families. Around 82% of the species found along this trail are native to the area. The most represented families are Asteraceae, Poaceae, Blechnaceae, Proteaceae, and Rosaceae. The breakdown of the flora along the trail is approximately 44% perennial herbs, 24% trees, 13% bushes, 10% ferns, 6% vines, 2% underbrush, and 1% parasitical plants.
